Wolf Totem Wolf Totem by Jiang Rong

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
This highly moving and historically accurate book was as informative as it was sad. I could not give higher praise to the translator (the original text is Chinese). The emotional power of this pseudo-auto-biography is a sad discourse on the destruction humans bring to nature. Through the Mongolian wolves Rong manages to show how closely dependent mankind has been on them for both survival and tutelage, even going so far as to point out all of the nations and empires that have been founded and battles won thanks to lesson learned by our Lupine friends.

Progress

Today, I managed to get my accounting software up to date and back-entered all the transactions from Jan 01. This will allow me to better project into the future while keeping an eye on expenses. Cleaned up some around the house, and got a new mix 90% done and ready to upload to my new pay site. ETA for upload is dark time. Enjoyed one of what I expect will be the last below freezing days today, last night, and tonight. I shall miss Winter, but I know she will be back in a few months preceded by the lovely Autumn.

It Begins

A brand new blog to begin babbling about the positive things that are happening in my life every day. Nothing negative here, just good, old fashioned happiness with the occasional dose of simian wit and copious amounts of mischief for good measure. Grammar? Alas, for I knew it once.
